I recently submitted a post to the Atlanta Yoga Scene entitled, “When Breathing isn’t Easy – A CF Adult’s Journey to Teaching Yoga.” That post has started a whirlwind of exposure as people with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and families of children with CF have connected with me to learn more about how I’ve achieved what was at one time in my life believed unattainable — surviving.
Folks from all around the world have reached out because they find my story inspiring, which is flattering, and I’m happy to be an inspiration for survivors who need some hope. But really, I’m just thriving because what else is there to do?
I was recently honored by the Boomer Esiason Foundation who now feature me on their website for people of all ages who are living with my disease, Club CF. I’m so excited and honored, and hope that I can continue to inspire others with any disease that YOU CAN DO ANYTHING!
I’ll be 40 years old in a few weeks. I’m a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, a friend, a co-worker, a yoga teacher and a survivor.
Never take anything for granted.
Namaste.

I love the image/quote you’ve included in this post. I’ve wanted to get it framed to have in my room.
